Danosaur Great Danes

About us

Corey Lynn Cuddihy & Jason M. Wanat

Here at Danosaur Great Danes we pride ourselves in producing healthy, happy pups that are conformationally correct. All of our dogs live in the house with us and are truly members of our family.

We do not believe in kenneling, and do not allow our pups to go to a home where they will be kenneled. Potential buyers of a pup must go through a screening process to ensure that the puppy is going to a good environment.

The health of our dogs, and the puppies they produce is a vital concern. Corey has been a NYS licensed veterinary technician for 12 years. Her training and knowledge help to ensure that our dogs get  the best possible care and also gives the puppy owners an additional resource to call on for information when their actual vet is unavailable.

Our Great Danes may appear a bit different to what you are used to seeing. Many breeders today are going for a more elegant and refined look while we prefer the "old fashioned", large boned Danes. We have introduced European blood into our lines to bring forward the heavy bone, larger head and lips, and also the steadier personality of the Euro Danes. We do not inbreed, or even line breed because of the inherent problems with both. The European bloodlines add to the current gene pool and promote healthier pups. While we may never have our own "type" by outcross breeding, we feel that the health benefits far outweigh even the positive aspects of line breeding.
